We would like to welcome Greg Fry onto the board of Lucie's Place! Greg is a priest for the Episcopal Church and has a lot of past non-profit board experience. In Sarasota, FL, Greg serviced on the board of Noel House, which offers programs for homeless, unwed mothers and their infants with medical services and temporary/transitional housing. Greg has served as a case manager in a halfway house and has been a chemical dependency counselor at Talbert House in Cincinnati, Ohio. We are very excited to have Greg and all of these amazing skills and experiences brought to the board of Lucie's Place!
Lucie's Place has received our first grant! The Darragh Foundation, based out of Little Rock has awarded Lucie's Place a $1,000 seed grant. This money will be used towards the "Tech Servcies" line on our budget. This includes the website and creating a 1-800 number for people in need to contact us for free!
In addition, The Darragh Foundation has agreed to cover the costs of our non-profit application and lawyer fees, for a grand total of $2,550! A big thanks to The Darragh Foundation for supporting us and showing their faith and trust in Lucie's Place. This is the beginning of a wonderful relationship. |
